6. RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
I supervised master’s research to 25 students and doctorate to 2 students. I have extensive practical and research experience in microbiology, with a specific emphasis on viral diseases of animals. I have worked at research institutions and universities in Sudan, Germany, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE and have gained experience working at various biocontainment levels, including BSL 2, 3, and 4. I have extensively applied cell culture, microscopy, and molecular approaches to study viral pathogens and have used a range of techniques such as histopathology, immunohistochemistry, electron microscopy, embryonated egg and cell culture, immunofluorescence, virus and serum neutralization test, virus titration, qViro virus quantification, ELISA, restriction enzyme analysis, molecular hybridization, gel based PCR, qPCR, molecular cloning, LAMP, partial and whole genome sequencing, phylogenetic analysis, and bioinformatics.
I am currently responsible for developing the Veterinary laboratory's research strategy and its implementation at ADAFSA. My extensive knowledge and expertise in microbiology and virology have significantly contributed to the field. My broad range of techniques and approaches has enabled me to conduct cutting-edge research in animal viral diseases.
